Grand Tour of Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka is an island of tremendous variety in terms of flora, fauna and topography, with a fascinating history and well-preserved ancient sites. Explore her wonders in this 11 night tour.
The 11th-century city of Polonnaruwa contains a fascinating array of ancient buildings, Anuradhapura is the first capital city of Sri Lanka and Mihintale is believed to be the meeting place of the Buddhist monk Mahinda and King Devanampivatissa which inaugurated the presence of Buddhism in Sri Lanka. Dambulla is home to a beautifully painted cave temple and Kandy houses the island’s most sacred Buddhist relic at its lakeside Temple of the Tooth.
