Day 1 Cairo, Egypt

Following your flight from Dublin, you will be met at the airport and transferred to the hotel.

Day 2 Cairo, Egypt - Giza, Egypt

Following breakfast at the hotel:

– Drive to Giza Visit one of the wonders of the ancient world, the Pyramids of Giza, drive to the panorama point to see the complete plateau, then may be ride a Camel (not included) and have a nice picture with the Pyramids background,

Then drive to and visit the Sphinx; The legendary guardian that stands by the huge funeral complex.

– A stop for Lunch (not included)

– Visit the new Museum “Grand Museum of Egypt” designed by the Irish Architect “Heneghan Peng”, which is to be located at the first desert plateau outside Cairo, between the great Pyramids of Giza and Cairo, is described as the largest museum of Egyptian artifacts in the world and one of the largest museums in the world, housing many thousands of Egyptian artifacts, as well as the full Tutankhamen collection with many pieces to be displayed for the first time, is also designed to include the latest technology, including virtual reality, the Grand Egyptian Museum will include a children’s museum, conference center, training center, and workshops similar to the old Pharaonic places, bazaar shops and restaurants,

- Drive back to the hotel, free time in the evening.

Day 3 Cairo, Egypt - Aswan, Egypt

Following breakfast at the hotel:

– Transfer to Cairo Domestic Airport for the flight to Aswan, with assistance provided through departure formalities and upon arrival at Aswan Airport.

– Tour to visit: The High Dam, built between 1960 and 1970, and controls the irrigation system of the cultivated lands of Egypt. The Unfinished Obelisk, offers unusual insights into ancient Egyptian stone-working techniques, with marks from workers’ tools still clearly visible as well as ochre-colored lines marking where they were working, this site shows how ancient Egyptians carved and built Obelisks. The Temple of Philae, a unique Temple of the Pharaonic Queen Isis located at its current location on Agilika island in lake Nasser after it was restored by the UNESCO from its original location at the cataract of Aswan as the area have been variously flooded since the initial construction of the Aswan Low Dam in 1902. Transfer to the quay to board the Nile Cruise,

– Lunch on board the ship – In the afternoon, sailing tour: Sailing tour by the traditional Nile Sailboat “Felucca” around Aswan islands, and enjoy the magnificent views of the Nile, flowing through the surrounding desert, hills and granite rocks, palm trees and farming lands,

– Dinner on board the cruise,

– Entertainment.

Day 4 Aswan, Egypt - Kom Ombo, Egypt - Edfu, Egypt

– A chance for an optional tour to visit Abu Simbel Temples: Abu Simbel Temples situated on the western bank of Lake Nasser, about 300 KM southwest of Aswan, the complex is part of the UNESCO world heritage sites, was relocated in its entirety in 1968, the twin Temples were originally carved out of the mountainside and their huge external rock relief figures have become iconic,

– Breakfast on board the ship

– Sail to Kom Ombo, and visit: The Temple of Kom Ombo is an unusual double Temple in town of Kom Ombo, it was constructed during the Pharaonic dynasty and some additions to it were later made during the Roman period,

– Lunch on Board the ship

– Sail to Edfu. – Dinner on board.

Day 5 Edfu, Egypt - Luxor, Egypt

– Breakfast on board the ship

– Horse carriage ride to visit: The Temple of Edfu at the town of Edfu, that is the largest Temple dedicated to the Pharaonic Gods and hathor and there was the center of several festivals sacred to Horus,

– Sail to Esna: Cross the lock and sail to Luxor.

– Optional visit to Luxor Temple.

– Dinner on board the cruise,

– Entertainment.

Day 6 Luxor, Egypt - Cairo, Egypt

– Breakfast on board

– Check-out from the ship.

– Tour to visit the West Bank of Luxor: Valley of the Kings, known as the Valley of the Gates of the Kings, is a valley where for a period of nearly 500 years from the 16th to 11th century BC; rock tombs were excavated for the Pharaohs and powerful Nobles of ancient Egypt. Hatshepsut Temple, located beneath the cliffs at Deir El-Bahari dedicated to the female Pharaoh “Queen Hatshepsut” and is considered one of the “incomparable monuments of ancient Egypt.

– Drive back to the East bank and visit: Karnak Temple, The complex is a vast open site, it is believed to be the second most visited historical site in Egypt, it consists of four main parts, the key difference between Karnak and most other temples and sites in Egypt is the length of time over which it was developed and used as construction of temples continued, where approximately thirty consecutive pharaohs contributed to the buildings,

– Transfer to Luxor domestic airport for the flight to Cairo, assistance through departure formalities and upon arrival at Cairo Airport.

– Transfer to the hotel.

Day 7 Cairo, Egypt

– Breakfast at the hotel,

– Free day at leisure

Option One: In Cairo to visit Old Cairo, the Citadel of Salah Eldin and the Khan Elkhalili Bazaars,

Option Two: To travel for a day trip to Alexandria the second largest city in Egypt and visit the Qaitbay Forte, the Alexandria national Museum, the Bibliotheca Alexandria with lunch included at a typical Alexandrian restaurant overlooking the Mediterranean sea and beaches,

Option Three; An evening tour to visit the Spectacular show of Sound & Light at the Pyramids of Giza

Day 8 Cairo, Egypt

– Breakfast at the hotel,

– Transfer to Cairo International Airport for the flight back to Dublin, with assistance through departure formalities.
