With a capacity of 2,500 seats, the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden is one of the largest classical music venues in Europe. The building features a unique architecture as it sits on the bed of a former railway station, whose neo-classicist structure serves as the entrance hall of the Festspielhaus. The reconstructed Festspielhaus was designed by the Viennese architect Wilhelm Holzbauer in the mid-1990’s and is known worldwide for its excellent acoustics.

Nestling on the French border, the historic town of Baden-Baden is a charming blend of French and German cultures, mixing its grand Art Nouveau villas with a wave of modern boutiques and chic cafés. Itinerary

Day 1

Your tour will start with a morning flight to Frankfurt, flight departs Dublin at 07:00 and arrives into Frankfurt airport at 10:10. (please note that flight times are subject to change at airline’s discretion) On arrival in Frankfurt, meet your local guide for private coach transfer to the 4* Leonardo Royal Hotel in Baden-Baden where you are booked for three-nights on a bed & breakfast basis. On arrival in Baden-Baden, relax over a welcome lunch and enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure.

Your hotel: 4* Leonardo Royal Hotel The Leonardo Royal Hotel is located just 200 m from the famous Lichtentaler Allee avenue and offers indoor pool, restaurant, bar and a garden. Rooms are air-conditioned rooms with flat-screen HD TV, a minibar and tea/coffee facilities with many rooms offering a balcony or terrace with scenic views of the Black Forest.

You have the remainder of the afternoon and evening is at your leisure for independent sightseeing.

Day 2


After breakfast, meet your local guide and fellow travellers for a morning walking tour of Baden-Baden. You guide will show you the town’s many places of interest and give you an insight to the town’s tales and legends. Today’s today includes a visit to the world famous Baden-Baden Casino: With a history dating back over 250 years and fashioned on the lines of French royal palaces, the Baden-Baden Casino is, and always has been, a temple to the alluring game of chance. You will be amazed at its extravagant interior.

The afternoon is at your leisure. 

In the evening meet your local guide in the hotel lobby for transfer to the Festival Hall to attend the evening concert performance by Jonas Kaufmann.

Artists: Jonas Kaufmann – Tenor Jochen Reider – Conductor PKF – Prague Philharmonic Performance ends at approx. 20:00

After the concert, transfer back to your hotel and relax over a post-concert dinner.

Day 3

Today, we visit Brahms' House: Step inside the Blue Room, the original living room of Johannes Brahms, and soak up the very special atmosphere. In this house, known as Lichtental No. 8, there really is an air of creativity, as it was here, between 1865-1874, that Brahms spent his summer months and wrote many of his world famous compositions. Return to the hotel at the end of the tour.

Day 4

This morning, enjoy breakfast in the hotel restaurant and check out.

Start the day with a visit to Lichtenthal Abbey: Capture the atmosphere of the Abbey, founded by Margravine Irmengard von Baden in 1245 as the burial place of the Margraves of Baden. The Lichtenthal monastery is located on the edge of the city of Baden-Baden. For over 770 years Cistercian women have prayed and worked in the Abbey. To this day, the life of the Lichtenthal sisters is marked by the spirituality of Saint Benedict Lunch will be taken at Restaurant Geroldsauer Mühle near the monastery.

Afterwards, transfer to Frankfurt airport for the return flight.

Flight departs Frankfurt at 19:50 and arrives Dublin 20:55 (please note that flight times are subject to change at airline’s discretion)
