Itinerary

Day 1

Your tour will start with a morning flight to Brussels. Your flight departs Dublin at 06:30 and arrives in Brussels at 09:20 (flight times subject to change). On arrival in Brussels, meet your local guide for a transfer to the 4* Hotel NH Collection Centre in Antwerp. Your hotel: 4* Hotel NH Collection Centre in Antwerp The NH Collection Antwerp Centre is the first NH hotel in the city. Conveniently located for leisure and the hotel is situated in the Diamond Quarter and local attractions such as the Antwerp Zoo and Antwerp Central Park are nearby. The hotel has 186, brand-new rooms. All rooms have a view over the city, the hotel’s inner garden or the hotel courtyard. Nespresso machines, 49” LED TVs, minibar, safe, media player and complimentary Wi-Fi come as standard. Guests can enjoy Spanish specialties at the hotel’s tapas bar, and start the day right with a breakfast buffet. Day 2

Buffet breakfast in the hotel Meet your local guide for city sighteeing tour of Antwerp. See the historical sights of Antwerp on a guided walking tour and marvel at the main monuments of the main square of Groenplaats, such as the Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekathedraal (Cathedral of Our Lady) and statue of the artist Rubens. Visit the Cathedral. Constructed in Brabant architecture; Its tower has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999. Venture with your guide down Antwerp’s small alleys and discover its charming courtyards and Gothic churches, along with the remains of the ancient stone walls and beautiful city hall on the impressive Grote Markt (Great Market Square). Hear how the Vikings, Napoleon Bonaparte and medieval guildsmen have all played a part in shaping the city. Marvel at the old port and see how it has been transformed into a trendy neighbourhood. Walk through Antwerps famous World Diamond Center and listen as your guide enthralls you with exciting stories of its heyday, the imminent downfall and finally the resurrection of the Antwerp diamond industry in the 19th century. Visit a diamond factory where experts will give you a glimpse into the glittering world of diamonds; see how diamonds are cut and picked, and watch as a local goldsmith makes beautiful pieces out of thsi stunning glass. Lunch is at own expense. At the center of Antwerp is the Royal Palace. Originally from the 18th century, this building was popularly owned by important rulers such as Napoleon Bonaparte, William I of the Netherlands and the Belgian royal family. Here, you will have to enjoys coffee and beautiful Belgium chocolate. Evening at leisure.

Day 3

Day at leisure to explore the city at your own pace. This evening, attend the highlight of your stay – a concert performance by the wonderful André Rieu with category 1 tickets. Your evening will begin with pre-concert dinner in your hotel followed by coach transfer to the Sportpaleis for an evening with Andre Rieu. At the end of the evening, private coach transfer back to hotel with your local guide

Day 4

Before leaving Belgium today, we head to Brussels for a city tour with your local guide. Brussels is at the heart of Europe; see its famous attractions such as the futuristic Atomium to the historic, royal palace of Laken and the many Art Nouveau works. Today, we see what Brussels has to offer its many visitors. Walk through the beautiful medieval centre of Brussels, and gaze delightfully into shop windows stacked with pralines, truffles, ganache and chocolate bars. Stroll through some of Brussels’ most beautiful galleries, including the famous Royal Galleries of Saint Hubert. We end the tour in the beautiful Sainte-Catherine neighbourhood, where you can taste a variety of the best Belgian chocolates Brussels has on offer. Discover the secret to making delicious chocolate, learn how chocolate made its way to Belgium, and discover how it has grown to become synonymous with the country’s national identity. Lunch is at a Restaurant in Brussels and afterwards coach transfer with your local guide to the Airport Brussels-Zaventem for departure. Flight departs Brussels at Lisbon at 19:40 and arrives Dublin 20:25.
