Itinerary

Day 1 Miami, Florida (Hotel stay)

Following your flights from Dub, in you will be transferred to a centrally located hotel in Miami where you can enjoy one night in this marvellous city.

Miami is a city of wildly diverse districts, jigsawed into a vast urban corridor from two technically separate cities: mainland Miami and the huge sand bar known as Miami Beach.

Day 2 Miami, Florida

After you overnight stay in a Miami Hotel you will be transferred to the port where you will be welcomed onboard the MSC Divina

Day 3 At Sea

Cruising.

Day 4 Ocho Rios, Jamaica

From a small fishing town and banana exporter to a bustling tourist resort The poetically-named Ocho Rios (meaning ‘Eight Rivers’) on the island of Jamaica has developed from a small former fishing town and banana exporter to a bustling tourist resort. Even in the 1960’s, ‘Ochi’, as it is known to locals, was still a small village.

Recent developments have made this Jamaican town into a shopping Mecca and key destination for cruise passengers.

Day 5 Georgetown, Cayman Islands

Once disembarked from and MSC cruise ship in the Cayman Islands, the cruise goer is welcomed by the port of George Town. The capital of the island and of the country, it is a traditional Caribbean city with colorful wooden houses that alternate with newer buildings.

The houses on the narrow George Town streets are interspersed with artisan workshops, where you can find some rarities to take home as a reminder of your MSC cruise in the Caribbean Sea. You can take a plunge into the history of the island at the dual-purpose National Museum of George Town: you can both explore samples of the most interesting endemic flora and fauna, and trace the long and tough inhabited history of the island.

Day 6 Cozumel, Mexico

A forty-kilometre-long island directly off the coast from Playa del Carmen, Isla Cozumel is a renowned cruise-ship call: nearly every day, up to ten cruise ships dock at one of the island’s three dedicated piers, all just south of the only town, San Miguel

. A holiday to Mexico with MSC Cruises will present you with restaurants, souvenir shops and jewellery stores, all along the malecón (Av Rafael Melgar) in downtown San Miguel.

If you fancy a museum, the attractive Museo de la Isla de Cozumel has small displays of the flora, fauna and marine life of the island, as well as a good collection of Maya artefacts and old photos.

If you’re not a diver, there’s a certain appeal in wandering the relaxed inland blocks of San Miguel, away from the piers, spotting Maya ruins and birds (the Maya called the island cuzamil – “land of the swallows”) in the dense forests and being the only person on the windswept eastern beaches.

Day 7 At Sea

Cruising.

Day 8 Nassau, Bahamas

No cruise vacation to the Caribbean would not be complete without a stop-over at ‘funky’ Nassau, the vibrant port that soul singer Ray Munnings sang about in his groovy 1969 hit.

This flat island is located in the north-eastern part of the island of New Providence in the Bahamas and covered by pine-tree woods, lakes and swamps.

In the North there are wonderful beaches, tourist ports, golf courses and many other venues for leisure and free time.

Your luxury MSC cruise liner will dock in Nassau’s sheltered harbour, the perfect stop to start visiting this beautifully preserved city, with its Victorian mansions, cathedrals, 18th-century fortresses and Queen’s Staircase (the 66 steps lead to a breathtaking panoramic view).

Day 9 Miami, Florida

Upon arrival to sunny Miami you will be collected and brought to the airport for your trip back home to Dublin.
