Itinerary

Day Barcelona, Spain

On arrival in Barcelona you will be transferred to the port to board Norwegian Spirit. The ship departs in the evening.

Day At Sea

Your first day onboard is spent at sea, cruising to your first port of call, Casablanca. Take some time to explore the ship and get acquainted with your surroundings.

Day Casablanca, Moroccole

Forever immortalized by the classic movie of the same name, Casablanca is Morocco’s modern metropolis.

Casablanca grew rapidly from a small settlement into a sprawling city of three million and even though it is not one of the famous imperial cities, Casablanca offers visitors a rare experience.

Everything is bigger here: the streets, the hotels, the office blocks and the slums. The people themselves say that; “Casablanca has no memory and no past, only a future.”

A rich heritage of Art Deco architecture fused with North African elements acts as a tangible reminder of the city’s French colonial past.

Day At Sea

Norwegian Spirit has activities onboard to suit everyone. With numerous places to eat, drink and play you are sure to find something to entertain you on your time at sea.

Day Las Palmas, Canary Islands

Founded in 1478, today Las Palmas is a bustling, cosmopolitan city with plenty of Spanish ambience, culture and history to go around. Take a scenic drive through the Angostura Valley for an unforgettable experience. Explore more of Las Palmas on a European cruise!

Day Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Canary Islands

Located at the eastern tip of the island of Tenerife, the largest of the Canary Islands, Santa Cruz is a natural cruise destination as over half of its perimeter is shoreline. The beaches are lovely at that, from the yellow sands of Las Teresitas to the black sands of the quieter, clothing-optional Las Gaviotas. There’s also plenty to do and see inland, especially if you’re here during the spectacular Carnival.

Day Funchal, Madeira

Blooming with beautiful flora, discover Funchal’s colourful botanical gardens and flower markets. If you’re feeling adventurous, take the cable car up to the hilltop town of Monte, then the famous toboggan run back down again.

Day At Sea

After your time exploring the islands, this day at sea offers you a perfect chance to relax and watch the world float by as you cruise to your next port, Malaga.

Day Malaga, Spain

Fantastic beaches nestled between the mountains and the sea Nestling between the mountains and the sea, Malaga, on Spain’s east coast, is known as the capital of the Costa del Sol.

This region has long been popular with holidaymakers who are drawn by the area’s fantastic beaches and made the Costa del Sol one of the most visited regions in Spain.

But this town has more to offer than just seaside and sunshine! Founded around 3000 years ago, Malaga went on to become an important part of the Roman Empire as a centre for both commerce and culture before being dominated by the Moors. Several ancient Moorish monuments remain in Malaga and the surrounding region.

Day Alicante, Spain

This Costa Blanca jewel lies between mountains and sea fronted with miles of beaches. Spanish Baroque at its finest, Cathedral de San Nicolas is well worth the stop. Discover the La Alcudia Archaeological Sites, a working dig occupied since the Stone Age.
