Port Louis, Mauritius’s capital and the busiest city is an exhibition of everyday Mauritian life. Head to the busy market and experience excitement of shopping in Port Louis or take a trip to the sparkling new waterfront to sample local cuisine and the island’s 58 varieties of tea. To get closer to nature, visit the famous Pamplemousses Botanical Gardens.
The ship remains at Port Louis overnight.
To see a colourful snapshot of everyday Mauritian life, head for the lively covered market, which contrasts with the sparkling new waterfront. Visit the famous Pamplemousses Botanical Gardens, with beautiful giant Victoria Water Lillies; explore the nearby 3,000-acre Domaine des Pailles Nature Park, or just relax beside a fabulous Indian Ocean Beach.
Take the opportunity to indulge in complete relaxation on the white sandy beaches of Praslin Island in the Seychelles. Originally the perfect hideaway for pirates, it is now the perfect example of tropical paradise, with crystal blue seas and tropical forests.
Home to beautiful beaches and rare bird species, Praslin Island is the epitome of all you would expect for a tropical getaway. The spectacular palm forest of Vallée de Mai is located in Praslin National Park on the South of the Island, and the ancient coral reefs just off-shore are particularly popular with divers.
The ship stays at Praslin Island for the day before departing to Victoria, Mahe, for the night.
Indulge in some uninterrupted relaxation among the golden sands of the Seychelles in one of the worlds smallest capitals, Victoria. Surrounded by green and blue swells of quietly rippling Indian Ocean and sprinkled with dense forests and tall hills offering breathtaking views, the Seychelles are the epitome of paradise.
Stroll barefoot on the golden sands of the Seychelles in one of the world’s smallest capitals, Victoria. Here you will be surrounded by rippling green and blue swells of ocean, best seen from the top of Morne Blanc amongst the gentle clouds as you cast your eye over this breathtaking panoramic view of Mahe. The harbour is the place to be if you are looking to pick up trinkets in the form of jewellery, handmade goods and food.
Any time spent in the dream-like setting of the Seychelles is an unforgettable experience, with world-renowned beaches, stunning corals, spectacular nature reserves and incredible wildlife awaiting discovery. It takes something very special to rival what can be seen ashore in this paradise archipelago, but sailing by Silhouette Island – the third largest island in the Seychelles – at sunset is sure to create memories which will last a lifetime.
The beautiful island of Zanzibar has a relaxed pace and diverse flora and fauna, but its highlight has to be the powder-soft white sand beaches offering visitors a slice of paradise.
Zanzibar is a separate state within Tanzania, located in the Indian Ocean some 37 kilometres offshore the east coast of Africa. Feel the salt spray from the tumbling waves as they lap at the shores of Zanzibar, located in the luscious Indian Ocean and famous for its harrowing past which you can get a feel for by visiting the old Slave Market or alternatively, immerse yourself in the culture through its colourful cuisine at the Forodhani Gardens.

Adored by its staff and guests alike, the beautiful Boudicca is originally designed for world cruises. The vessel’s interior is stylish, elegant and very modern, and large windows in public rooms create a very light and airy ambience. As per usual with Fred. Olsen ships, the emphasis is on providing an intimate and more traditional cruise experience, ensuring all 880 guests disembark as friends, not just customers.
The Secret Garden Restaurant, decorated in an oriental style, is available for informal dining, while the ship’s main formal restaurants are the Tintagel, Four seasons and the Heligan Room.
