Day 1 Barcelona, Spain

On arrival in Barcelona, you will be transferred to the port to board the family friendly cruise ship Norwegian Epic. Barcelona is Spain’s second-largest city and the capital of the Catalonia region. Lying along the Mediterranean coast, Barcelona is the leading industrial and financial centre of Spain as well as its main trade and tourist port. To the northwest, a set of hills run parallel to the coast and in the southwest, the old town lies along the port divided by attractive tree-lined boulevards known as Las Ramblas. Barcelona is a wonderfully vibrant city and, having been a cultural and artistic centre since the Middle Ages, really makes for a fantastic day away from your luxury cruise liner. With so much to see and do you are guaranteed to have a memorable day.

Day 2 Provence (Marseille), France

Located on the Mediterranean coast, Marseille is the oldest city in France and was founded in 600 BC. Among the many terracotta-roofed buildings lies many intriguing sights including the Cathedral of Notre-Dame-de-la-Garde. Other places well worth visiting are the city of Avignon and the quaint villages of Le Baux & Aix en Provence.

Day 3 Cannes, France

Cannes and the tiny principality of Monaco personify the charismatic French Riviera, with its long boardwalks, the massive yachts anchored in the harbour, and its warm, sunny plazas. It’s no wonder these two cities draw some of the world’s elite travellers every summer.

Day 4 Livorno (Florence/Pisa), Italy

How lucky to visit the Tuscan region, Florence & Pisa, resplendent in art and history. What’s even more fortunate is that all the main attractions in Florence are centrally located for the perfect walking tour. See Santa Croce, Piazza del Duomo and Michelangelo’s David.

Day 5 Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

The port city of Civitavecchia lies very closely to the wonderful city of Rome. Rome – where do we start? It is the ultimate vacation destination. There is perhaps no other city so crammed full of history, with layer upon layer of fabulous ruins, imperial temples…not to mention Etruscan tombs, early Christian churches, medieval bell towers, Renaissance palaces and baroque basilicas.

Day 6 At Sea

Day 7 Palma Mallorca

On the one hand, this city, founded by the Romans some 2,100 years ago, is replete with (literally) wall-to-wall history and architectural splendour. You can journey back in time and wander the mazes of alleyways and cobblestone paths that surround the Gothic cathedral. On the other hand, Palma is bustling with life, showcasing the island’s best restaurants, shops, nightlife and a vibrant art scene.

Day 8 Barcelona, Spain

Following your departure from the Epic, you will be transferred to the airport to catch your flight home to Dublin.
